Update: Seattle Police have a suspect, 31-year-old Christopher Burrus and are searching the city for him in connection with last night's attack on a 39-year-old man.

Detectives believe Burrus doused the man with a flammable liquid before setting him on fire.

"If you know where police can find Burrus, please call 911 immediately and do not approach him. Detectives are asking you to call the homicide/assault tip line at (206)233-5000 if you have any information regarding this case," police wrote in a press release.


Homicide detectives are searching for a man after setting another man on fire on Leary Way Northwest in the Frelard neighborhood on Nov. 7.

A passerby called 911 just after 7 p.m. after witnessing a man covered in flames in the 4500 block of Leary Way. The man extinguished the flames while waiting for first responders.

Seattle Fire medics responded and took the man to Harborview Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

Homicide/assault detectives from the Seattle Police Department are currently searching for a man and his girlfriend as suspects in the assault.
